Who runs this
WriteEulogy is operated by Valentyn Siedlovskyi, a sole proprietor (Atividade Individual) registered in Portugal, tax number PT322889960, at Rua da Fonte, 8, 4 Esq., 2410-261 Leiria, Portugal. You can reach us at support@writereulogy.com.
What you're buying
WriteEulogy is a digital tool. You describe the person who died, and the service uses artificial intelligence to write a draft eulogy for you. The opening of that draft is free to read. For a one-time payment of $24 (USD) you unlock the full text and can download it as a PDF.
There is no subscription and no account. The payment covers one unlocked eulogy, in the browser session where you made it.
The draft is a starting point
The text is generated by an AI model and is provided as is. It is written to help you, not to replace you. It may contain wording that is wrong, awkward, or simply not true to the person you loved.
Please read the whole thing before you use it, and change anything that doesn’t sound like you. You are responsible for the final words you speak or publish. We cannot promise the text will be accurate, suitable for any particular occasion, or free of error.
Using the service fairly
Please don’t use WriteEulogy to harass anyone, to write something about a person who has not died, or in any way that breaks the law. We may decline service if the tool is being misused.
The eulogy the tool writes for you is yours to use however you wish. You keep it; we claim no rights over it.
Availability
WriteEulogy depends on services we don’t control, including the AI provider and the payment processor. It may occasionally be slow or unavailable. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under Portuguese or EU law, which apply regardless of these terms.
The price, and tax
The price is $24 in US dollars, and that is the total you pay. Nothing is added at checkout — no VAT, no handling fee, no surcharge. The figure you see on the page is the figure Stripe charges your card.
WriteEulogy operates under the Portuguese VAT exemption for small traders, so no VAT is charged on this sale. Your own bank may apply a currency conversion charge if your card is not held in US dollars, and that is between you and your bank.
Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Our refund position is set out on the refund page.
Resolving a complaint
Please write to us first at support@writereulogy.com. Almost everything is settled that way, and quickly.
If we cannot resolve it between us, you may refer the dispute to alternative dispute resolution, as provided for by Portuguese Law 144/2015. The competent body for disputes not covered by a regional centre is the Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (CNIACC). A full list of Portuguese consumer arbitration centres is published at consumidor.gov.pt.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and disputes fall to the courts of Portugal, without affecting your rights as a consumer to bring a claim where you live.
This page is plain-language boilerplate, not legal advice. Please have it reviewed before you rely on it.
